BroScience Or Gym Shaman Elliott Hulse

I had an interesting thought today while writing a previous post.  I was thinking to myself, “I could share a video to entertain them.  I don’t know which one though.  I really like Elliott Hulse’s videos but I think Brosciencelife videos are hilarious.”

Thinking about the two and how drastically different they are, I decided to share them both and let you decide who gives the better advice(yes, I know brosciencelife is satire but I think most of their viewers actually take their advice.  Also, E. Hulse could be looked at in such a light due to his energetic attitude and off the wall advice at times…not hating, just stating).

Now, to compare the bro-scientist to the gym shaman.

One Year Without Crohn’s

Crohn’s Disease has been a major part of my life, so much in fact that it had become synonymous with me.  That’s very subjective and that’s simply what I thought, of course, but I believe that I was in the hospital so much when I was younger that you could have just pegged me as ‘that guy that is always sick.

However, I guess, just as the seasons change…I have changed.  Where there are harsh winters, there have been challenging times that I have had with my Crohn’s Disease.  Also, there are springs and summers and now I am feeling great!  I know that I persevered and I simply won’t have problems with my Crohn’s disease moving forward!

That’s not to say that I won’t face challenges and adversity in other aspects of my life.  Believe me, at this point in my life I feel that everything is going terrific, but I feel that my ‘winter’ will come and things will become challenging once again.  Although I find that to be truth, I know that I will be more prepared and that the next challenges I face will be nothing like the ones I’ve overcame thus far.

Having dealt with Crohn’s, I’ve learned how to manage my stress and I’ve eaten a lot better!  I’ve prioritized exercise and I’ve stopped neglecting my body.  With this achievement, I have to share that it has been a full year since I’ve been sick and in the hospital due to my Crohn’s Disease.

That being said, I feel that I’ve gained knowledge and wisdom in battling my illness.  I want to help in any way that I can.  If you need advice with your Crohn’s Disease, eczema, Rheumatoid Arthritis, or Fibromyalgia let me know.  I feel that we are all in this together and that these diseases seem to have a lot of the same root problems.

Stressing

Wake up.

Now go to work.

Eat well.

Now go to the gym.

Go back home.

Go to bed.

Go back to work.

It’s the cycle that we all go through daily.  I’m not complaining, but I plan to take advantage of all of my days off.

I really do love my job.  I love doing paperwork, I love writing, and I love organization.  I love taking care of those things.  However, after a long week of working on those things, I feel the urge to dive deep into..

The Maxed Out Muscles website.  I want to blog and share stories, share information, and help anyone interested in reading.  I’ve been working with my buddy, and coworker on the Maxed Out Muscles project, Jake and we’ve tried to add a lot of functionality to the site.

Now, when you go to the home page there will be a directory to different categories.  Now you can find virtually any interest you may have that I have written about!  Topics are limited, so I suppose that wouldn’t be anything, but on the home page you will see that I have information on Crohn’s Disease, fitness, motivation, and I have my blogs.

As you can see, I have to work on a couple things with the categories on top showing up twice or being misspelled. However, that will all be fixed later today. I hope you enjoy the website.
